The task was to offer an alternative to the existing project of a building on a historic sight in the central square of the Minsk city.
The careful integration of a new building into the urban fabric of the city and square was the primary task. The rectangular building, cut diagonally into two triangular parts. With this diagonal axis, we visually connect the cultural symbols of the Minsk – the Opera House and the Yanka Kupala Theater. It is also a shopping street and public space with access to the river Svisloch and Zybitskay street.
