“Pocket Park” transforms a spacious residential courtyard into an intimate green retreat, thoughtfully reimagining park functions to balance community interaction with privacy.
At the heart of the design is a family pavilion accompanied by a small playground, nestled within greenery to minimize noise while fostering neighborhood bonds. Naturalistic elements extend throughout the quarter, with gentle hills and rain gardens organizing the space into cozy, light-filled zones that avoid crowding. These artificial hills are a defining feature of the yard’s landscape language.
A rounded plaza with a long table nestled between the hills creates a quiet outdoor workspace, inviting residents to enjoy the ambiance much like a city café, blending comfort, calm, and community in a small-scale park setting.
