PIRS NEIGHBORHOOD

The neighborhood is located in a Minsk periphery next to the Zaslavskaya Reservoir. The location next to natural areas formed a concept which is oriented on relief from the urban buzz. Central to the composition is an artificial channel which beside recreational function helps manage stormwater. Next to the channel located a playground where children could play with water. Channel started with fountains and a space used for community gatherings, small local concerts, and parties. On the contrary in the yards are more private family spaces with BBQ zones. With a balance between more private and public spaces, we aimed to create a strong sense of community in the neighborhood.
